President Donald Trump is expected to attend a White House meeting with crypto industry leaders on Wednesday, according to people briefed on the planning, as the administration's new innovation committee prepares for its inaugural session.

The gathering — expected to be held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building next to the White House — will bring together chief executives from crypto, prediction market, and AI companies, including members of the new Innovation Advisory Committee at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Who's on the Roster

The committee's members include the CEOs of Coinbase, Ripple, Gemini, Robinhood, Polymarket, and Kalshi, alongside traditional finance leaders from CME Group, Nasdaq, and Intercontinental Exchange. Frank LaSalle, head of the DTCC, is also a member.

CFTC Chairman Mike Selig is expected at the White House meeting, along with other administration advisers. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick may also attend, according to one source. White House spokespeople did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Thursday's CFTC Session

The Wednesday gathering precedes the committee's first official meeting on Thursday afternoon at the CFTC, where the group will discuss its innovation agenda. The opening session is titled "Crypto's Regulatory Evolution: From Uncertainty to Clarity," with suggested topics including "the remaining challenges to a durable federal market structure."

The meeting comes as the White House remains mired in the debate over advancing the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act through final votes in the U.S. Senate. Further action may depend on whether the president accepts tighter ethics restrictions governing his personal involvement in the crypto industry.
